 HISTORY OF HNZ
Handball New Zealand has been involved with the growth of handball in New Zealand since 1994. During this time, the national sporting body has been instrumental in the on-going development of handball at all levels in New Zealand. In 1994 - the very first New Zealand national squads were selected when a senior mens and womens team participated at the inaugural Oceania Handball Championships, held in Canberra, Australia. Handball New Zealand have continued during this time to represent the interests of kiwi's at all levels both nationally and internationally fostering the growth of the sport for youth - women and men both in New Zealand as well as the Pacific.
